Windows 10 October 2018 Update receives a new Build for all users who dare to try it on their computers

Last week was prolific in terms of the release of Builds by Microsoft. Different versions of Window were the recipients of these updates, some of which offered more problems than expected. This was the case of Build KB4476976 for Windows 10 1809 that had been released within the Insider Program

• Fixed an issue with certain display drivers that could cause issues with Edge.
• Fixed an issue that may cause third-party applications to have difficulty authenticating access points.
• "Fixes an issue that causes non-root domain promotions to fail with the error The replication operation encountered a database error. The issue occurs in Active Directory forests where optional features such as Active Directory recycling have been enabled."
• Fixed a bug related to the date format for the Japanese era calendar.
• Fixed a compatibility issue with AMD R600 and R700 display chips.
• Fixes an audio compatibility issue when playing newer titles with 3D spatial audio mode enabled through multi-channel audio devices or Windows Sonic for headphones.
• Fixed an issue that may cause audio playback to become unresponsive when playing Free Lossless Audio Codec (FLAC) audio content after using a Seek operation such as rewind.
• "Fix a bug that allows users to uninstall Start menu apps when the group policy Prevent users from uninstalling Start menu apps is set."
• Fixed an issue that causes File Explorer to stop working when clicking the Enable button for the timeline feature.
• Fixed an issue that prevents users from installing a local experience pack from the Microsoft Store when that language is already set as the active Windows display language.
• Fixes a bug where some symbols appear in a square box in a text control.
• Fixed an issue with two-way audio occurring during phone calls for some Bluetooth headsets.
• Fixed an issue that may disable TCP Fast Open by default on some systems.
• Fixed a bug that can cause applications to lose IPv4 connectivity when IPv6 is not bound.
• Fixed an issue in Windows Server 2019 that can break connectivity in guest virtual machines (VMs).
• "Fixed an issue that occurs if you create a page file on a drive with FILE PORTABLE DEVICE features. The message Windows created a temporary warning appears."
• Fixed an issue that caused Remote Desktop Services to stop accepting connections after accepting multiple connections.
• Fixes an issue with Windows Server 2019 that causes a Hyper-V virtual machine to stay at the bootloader screen for OS selection when rebooting the machine. This issue occurs when connecting to the Virtual Machine Connection (VMConnect).
• Fixes an issue with rendering end-user-defined characters (EUDC) in Microsoft Edge.

It also presents a series of problems that should be known about:

• "Applications that use a Microsoft Jet database in the Microsoft Access 97 file format may not open if the database has column names longer than 32 characters. Database will not open with Unrecognized Database Format error."
• After installing KB4480116, some users report that they cannot load a web page in Microsoft Edge using a local IP address. Navigation fails or the web page may stop responding.
