Microsoft releases two Builds for Windows 10 April 2018 Update and for October 2018 Update but without major news
We're halfway through the week and a good time to get updates. And this time they are not for Insider Program users, but this update comes as a cumulative update for all users who have a PC with Windows 10 both if they are under Windows 10 APril 2018 Update how in October 2018 Update.
"The update corresponds to the codes KB4480116 and KB4480966 and can now be downloaded in each case by going to the usual route, that is, Configuration > Update and Security > Windows Update. An update that is focused above all on improving operating system performance"
This is the list of changes and improvements that we can find with this Build in both versions of Windows 10:
Fixes a security vulnerability in session isolation that affects remote PowerShell endpoints. By default PowerShell remoting only works with administrator accounts, although it can be configured to use non-administrator accounts. Starting with this release, remote PowerShell endpoints cannot be configured to work with non-administrator accounts, it will display this error:
- Security updates for Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Windows App Platform and Frameworks, Microsoft Scripting Engine, Windows Kernel, Windows Storage and Filesystems, Windows Virtualization, Windows Linux, Windows MSXML, and Microsoft JET Database Engine.
- In the case of Windows 10 October 2018 Update, an issue has been resolved in which using esentutl /p to repair an Extensible Storage Engine (ESE) database results in an extensible storage engine (ESE) database Almost empty. The ESE database is damaged and cannot be mounted.
There are also a number of known errors that must be assessed before proceeding with the update:
-
