The Windows 10 Start Menu also falls victim to bugs caused by patches released by Microsoft
A few days ago we learned how the problems returned to Microsoft with the release of a patch, specifically the one with the number KB4467682. Intended for Windows 10 April 2018 Update, caused some Surface Book 2 owners to experience blue screens. The consequences? Microsoft blocked the update for those computers.
Days have passed and it seems that the waters are still not calming down for Redmond, who are now victims of a new bug in patches KB4469342 and KB4467682 A failure that results in viewing and rendering problems in the Windows 10 Start Menu. Another headache for the user
There are therefore two patches, KB4467682 and KB4469342, both for an update that after a slightly bumpy launch, seemed to go smoothly... until now. Therefore, it becomes infected with the disastrous launch of the Windows 10 October 2018 Update, which has a huge list of bugs behind it
"The two patches in question cause, on the one hand, that many users are having problems with the Start Menu. This is not displayed correctly, especially if we have decided to customize it by modifying the location of the programs and Tiles. Broken lines, broken menus, or boxes appear where they shouldn&39;t."
This bug is in addition to the already known bug that distorted the operation of the videos in Edge, which freezes at the time of play video in the browser if a graphics card signed by Nvidia is used. Better get the new Edge soon.
It seems that Microsoft is already aware of this bug and is working on a solution that should arrive in the form of a patch to throughout the month of December.
As much as the company wants to show that they are improving the process by which new Builds and updates reach the market, the truth is that cases like this show that this is not the case. Failures and major errors are still present and more and more users are afraid of updating their equipment, especially when they need it for professional tasks.
