Microsoft works to stabilize Windows 10 October 2018 Update and releases a patch focused on bug fixes
Microsoft continues trying to straighten the dangerous drift in which it has entered when it comes to launching an update. Many users have been alarmed by the problems suffered by the latest _updates_ released, failures that are no longer even exclusive to Windows 10 October 2018 Update. - Fixed bug with Bluetooth headsets that caused them to stop receiving audio while using them.
- Fixed bug where Brightness slider preference was reset to 50% on device reboot.
- Fixes an issue with Microsoft Intune that causes devices to be incorrectly marked as non-compliant causing them to not receive compliance approval conditional access so they could see functions like email blocked.
- Fixed a performance issue with vSwitch on Network Interface Cards (NICs) that do not support Large Send Offload (LSO) and Checksum Offload (CSO).
- Wi-Fi policy for Service Set Identifier (SSID) filtering has been updated to prevent filtering of Wi-Fi Direct devices.
- Fixed an issue that causes rasman.exe to stop responding.
- Fixed an issue where regedit.exe does not add the double null terminator to REG_MULTI_SZ values in the Windows registry.
- Fix an issue with RemoteApp visibility that can cause the main window to disappear until the user clicks the screen .
- Fix a bug that prevented some users from setting Win32 program defaults for certain combinations of applications and file types.
- Fixed an issue that may cause mapped drives to fail to reconnect after starting and logging in to a Windows device.
As we can see, there are a good number of corrections, improvements that do not prevent some issues recognized by Microsoft.
- After installing this update, users may not be able to use the Search Bar in Windows Media Player when playing specific files. Microsoft is working on a patch to fix it, which should arrive in mid-December.
- Nvidia has notified Microsoft about an issue where Microsoft Edge may crash or crash while playing a video after updating the driver nvidia. You have to update with the latest version released by Nvidia for your driver.
