Microsoft blocks the update to Windows 10 October 2018 Update to some computers due to a bug in Intel drivers

The cause is found, according to Microsoft, in an Intel Display driver that was released in September and that is causing problems for compatibility with the October 2018 update. A bug that causes sound not to reach monitors or displays that are connected via HDMI, USB Type-C, or DisplayPort.
"It appears that after the _driver_ in question was released, some OEMs accidentally enabled unsupported features in Windows. A driver that so far has problems with versions 24.20.100.6344 and 24.20.100.6345."
This ruling is responsible for Microsoft having opted for the fast track in order to avoid inconvenience to users so that have decided to block the update to Windows 10 October 2018 Update on those computers that may be affected.
If your device is among those affected, Microsoft recommends contacting technical support so that they can indicate the steps to follow and thus solve the problem, steps that go through the deactivation of a file that activates the incompatible function
