The new Build can be tested by all those who are signed up in the Skip Ahead ring. Only they will be able to access Build 18242, a new compilation for the most risky users that, together with the correction of already known errors, offers some interesting news that we are going to review now .

The new Build has been announced on the Microsoft Blog and among the improvements it offers is the possibility to move the emoji panel to a more suitable positionin which it bothers us as little as possible or fixes the problem that caused excessive use of the battery when using certain applications.
- Fixed issue with notifications and the Action Center becoming transparent.
- The thumbnails and icons no longer cause problems when there are video files saved on the desktop.
- Fixed a bug that caused the Back button within Settings to have white text on a white background when hovering over it same.
- Fixed an issue that caused certain applications to crash when trying to save a file.
- Already fixed the bug caused by sharing, not working for local accounts if it contained certain Chinese characters, Japanese or Korean.
- Fixed bug that caused processing issues on certain types of PDF files in Microsoft Edge.
- The Emoji panel can now be dragged if we want to move it to a different position.
- Fixed issue where Narrator did not read selected word selections when typing using an IME (for example, in Japanese).
- Fixed issue with some Bluetooth audio devices not playing sound in apps that also used the microphone.
- Fixed an issue that caused resume from hibernation to be slower on certain devices in the latest Builds.

- Fixed issue causing excessive battery usage when using certain apps.
- Fixes an issue in PowerShell where it did not display characters correctly in Japanese.
There are, however, known problems. For example Task Manager does not properly report CPU usage. Arrows to expand “Background Processes” in Task Manager keep blinking.
In the case of developers Also, if they install any of the recent versions from the Fast Ring and switch to the Slow Ring, the optional content like enabling developer mode will fail. They will need to stay in the Fast Ring to add/install/enable optional content.
If you belong to the Skip Ahead Ring you can download it by going to the Settings Menu and search for Update and security and then click on Check for updates."
