Windows 10 October 2018 Update is coming: Microsoft releases Build 17754 for Fast Ring insiders
We already know what will be the name with which Redstone 5 will reach the public. There is less and less left to be able to get hold of the latest version of Windows 10, but until that moment arrives, from Redmond they continue to release builds to test the final version and that it arrives with as few errors as possible.
And while Windows 10 October 2018 Update arrives, they launch a new Build, which has the number 17754. A Build that has been launched within the Fast Ring in the Program Insider and announced on Twitter by Dona Sarkar.
In Build 17754 we will find the following new features:
- Removed the build watermark in the lower right corner of the desktop which may indicate that the final version is getting closer and closer.
- Fixed a bug with the reliability of the Action Center in Recent Builds.
- Fixed a crash when opening multiple taskbar panels.
- Fixes an issue for people with multiple monitors where using the Open or Save dialog box.
- Fixed an issue that recently caused some apps to crash when setting focus in the app's search box.
- Fixes an issue with some games, such as League of Legends, not working correctly in recent Builds.
- Fixed bug where opening web links in PWAs like Twitter did not open the browser.
- Fixed an issue that caused certain PWAs to not render correctly after suspending the application and resuming it.
- Fixed a bug when using Microsoft Edge and pasting multi-line text on certain websites that could cause unexpected empty lines to be added between each line.
- Fix a crash in Recent Builds when using the pen in Microsoft Edge web notes.
- Fixed a bug with the Task Manager in Recent Builds.
- Fixed an issue that caused Setup to fail for Insiders with multiple monitors when changing options in Display Settings.
- Fixed a crash when clicking the Verify link on the Account Settings page in Recent Builds.
- Fixed an issue where the Apps & Features page contents would not load until the app list was ready. This caused the page to appear blank for a few seconds.
- Fixed an issue with Narrator where activating Microsoft Edge history items would not work in Browse mode.
- Added improvements to the Narrator launcher when navigating in Microsoft Edge.
Known issues that still persist:
- If we use the Accessibility settings to make the text larger, we may experience text cropping issues or the text size may not increase everywhere.
- Narrator sometimes doesn't read in the Settings app when navigating with the Tab and arrow keys. You can restart Narrator to avoid this problem.
In short, it&39;s about getting ready for the release of Redstone 5, which should take place on a fixed date between the months of September and October. If you belong to the Fast Ring you can download it by going to the Settings Menu and search for Update and security to then click on Check for updates"
