Microsoft offers a workaround for users experiencing connection issues with Windows 10 April 2018 Update
Table of contents:
Windows 10 April 2018 Update is already among us and little by little we are drawing conclusions about the performance that it is offering. We have seen how some deficiencies have come to light and in fact a few days ago we learned of a threat to our computers via Cortana that advised us to update our computers without waiting.
The problems, however, do not end here, as there are cases of users who are experiencing connection problems on their computers, failures that are commenting on specialized forums and that have made Microsoft already offer a temporary solution.
A temporary solution
The error in question refers to problems for users of computers with Windows 10 April 2018 Update, who are encountering problems connecting to their home Wi-Fi network. We are waiting for an update to fix this bug and in the meantime, this is the solution that Microsoft has offered
- We must press the Windows and R keys at the same time to force the Run box to appear.
- "Write services.msc (without quotes) in the Run dialog box and press Enter."
- "For each of the following services, we must locate the service in the list, click with the right mouse button on it and select Properties."
- "Set the Startup Type to Automatic (Delayed Start) and select Apply."
- Computer Browser (Browser).
- Function Discovery Provider Host (FDPHost).
- Function Discovery Resource Publication (FDResPub).
- Network connections (NetMan).
- UPnP Host Device (UPnPHost).
- Peer Level Name Resolution Protocol (PNRPSvc).
- Peering Network Peering (P2PSvc).
- Peer Network Identity Manager (P2PIMSvc).
- We restart the computer.
It is the solution offered by Microsoft support to, if you are affected, end network connection problems Wi-Fi, at least while we wait for the final patch to arrive.
