Don't want to know anything about the Timeline in Windows 10? With these simple steps you can deactivate it

One of the most interesting new features that came with Windows 10 April 2018 Update was the call Timeline or Windows Timeline A new function that collects the use we make of the different applications and documents that we have been using in the last 30 days. We can scroll through our entire history just by moving the mouse.

Windows Timeline works as a timeline through which we can scroll to see the applications that we have been using throughout of time and in this way make it more comfortable to resume an activity that we carry out at a certain time. And we can do it from any computer with your Windows account

But either for privacy reasons or because we just don't need, we may consider turning off this functionality in Windows 10. Something that we can carry out in an easy and accessible way and that goes a step further than simply deleting activities.

"

If what we want is to disable the Timeline function and for the device to stop collecting all our activity, we only have to go to the Settings menu . We can do it using the Windows + Alt key combination or by clicking on the gear icon in the Start menu."

"

Once in Settings look for the option Privacy and click _click_ on it to access all its options. Among them we must select Windows permissions and under it, in the left column, Activity history "

"

We&39;re going to run into two checkboxes that we can turn off if we don&39;t want Timeline running on our computer. The first has the text Let Windows collect my activities on this computer and the second Let Windows sync my activities on this computer with the cloud."

To make Timeline stop collecting our activity we have to uncheck them to deactivate them and then we will see how TimeLine stops showing the activity we carry out.

"

It is the most radical method. If, on the other hand, it is enough to delete one or more activities, it is enough to select them in Timeline and with the right button of the mouse or trackpad _click_ on them so that the system shows us an options box from which we must choose the option Remove."
