We have been testing Windows 10 April 2018 Update for days and little by little we are learning about some of the new features it presents. Some more hidden than others, we find additions like this one that concerns us and that makes it easier to share files from our computer

We refer to the Nearby sharing option with which to share files in Windows 10 with other computers that are nearby, that yes, they must have Windows 10 updated to the latest version.An option that, although it is deactivated by default, we are going to know now and in passing to explain how to use it."

Steps to follow

Share between devices It is an option that is deactivated so the first step is to activate it To do this we must go to the menu Settings using the cogwheel at the bottom left or by pressing (by pressing Windows + I). Once inside, look for the System section and enter it"

We are going to see a sidebar and we scroll through it looking for the section Shared experiences, on which we must _click_ to access to the option that interests us."

We will see how the right part of the window changes at that moment with a new menu. Among all the options we must choose the one related to Nearby sharing For this we are going to see a button or switch that is deactivated by default and that we must activate. "

Also under it we will see a box that offers us if we only want to share between Only my devices which are those in which you have started Sign in with your account or Anyone nearby (with any nearby device)."

Once activated we must go to the file that we want to share and click on it with the right mouse button so that the contextual menu opens. In the same we must look for the option Share."

A new window will then open in which the device will search for nearby devices showing their names. You just have to _click_ on the device to which you want to send the file.

The transfer will then start and on the computer to which we send the file we will see a warning window appear with which save, reject or simply open the file .

It's a very simple way to send content between Windows devices, with only two precautions. Have the operating system updated to the latest version and at the same time have Bluetooth activated both on the sending device and on the receiving device.
