The next big Windows update will come with a new way to take screenshots
One of the Windows features that has been with us since ancient times is the one that referred to the screen capture function. Reflecting in a screenshot what we currently have on the screen was very simple with the press of a key: the very famous Print Screen"
Easy access that, however, was not fully adapted to the options offered by the market with the new types of devices that are on the line. And that is something that will change with the next Windows 10 update (Redstone 5), which will arrive at the end of the year but whose advantages can already be tested thanks to Insider Program within which Build 17661 has been released. With it, screenshots will take on new life.
The system used by Microsoft is very similar to that used by macOS, a platform in which the process for taking a screenshot does not differ excessively from that used in WindowsThe Mountain View system offers two options to capture the screen that had nothing to do with Windows:"
- Shift + Command (?) + 3 for a full screen capture
- Shift + Command (?) + 4 for a partial zone capture
Now with the Windows update the process is partly more similar and at the same time they add new options On the one hand it is still present the WIN + Shift + S key combination to display a cropping toolbar with which we will select the area we want to capture, either a partial area or the full screen and once done it will be saved directly to the clipboard.
This option is enhanced if we use a _stylus_, since it will be enough to press the pencil button to launch the screen capture tool. A method designed to take advantage of the powerful market of convertible devices on the market.
Next to these actions the keyboard button Print Screen is still present on the one hand, although it is not enabled by default and for To establish it, we must go to Keyboard Settings and select a new option that says Use the Print screen key to start screen cutting."
"Also also we can access it through the quick action button in the Action Center called Screen Snip. "
There are more options when taking a screenshot in our team that expand the possibilities of a really useful tool.
