Want a totally clean version of Windows? Microsoft Refresh Windows is the tool to help you in the process

Updating a Windows computer is relatively easy thanks to the access we have to different tools. This is the case of Windows Media Creation Tool, a tool with which we can download a new version of Windows to our computer, being able to choose whether to update the system or download a ISO image of it.But what happens when our system gives problems and for example we cannot access an external drive from which to install a new version?

Preliminary considerations

The first step before using Microsoft Refresh Windows is that we must bear in mind that when using it we are going to eliminate all applications that are not integrated into Windows , including other Microsoft applications such as Office.

We are also going to get rid of all the _bloatware_ that is normally installed from the factory on our PC (whether they are applications, support programs, and drivers) so we will have to reinstall them manually.

Also there is a possibility of losing digital licenses or digital content associated with applications that have active licenses.So it is interesting to have a backup as we always advise, have a backup of our files for what may happen.

Starting the process

And once the strict warnings have been made, we only have to get down to work. The first step is to download Microsoft Refresh Windows from the Microsoft website.

Once downloaded the file with the .exe extension we _click_ on it to execute it and accept the downloaded file, double-click on it to run it.

After accepting the End User License Agreement (EULA in English) the program offers us the option of keeping our personal files or create a backup.

Windows Update Tool will then be downloaded and start updating the computer while displaying the OOBE screen that guides us step by step in the process.

Once finished we find a completely clean system of foreign content that we will have to customize to our liking.
