Problems with Control Panel after upgrading to Creators Update? Try this solution
The arrival of the big spring update to Windows 10 has brought a lot of improvements to our computers. That is something undeniable. But some users have also experienced some small bugs that should be corrected over time. And this time we are not referring to an error that is generated when trying to access the Control Panel"
"With the arrival of the Creators Update it may be the case in some computers that when trying to access the Control Panel of our computer it closes suddenlyalmost instantly upon opening or at most after a few seconds."
An inconvenience that is caused by a failure within the system files and although it is not serious since we can access all these options using other paths(the search box is the fastest) it is no less true that it is still a nuisance.
A small bug for which there is a solution although requires having to use the command window and typing two lines in it . But it is very simple.
The first step is to open the command window, something we can do either by pressing the Windows + X keys simultaneously or by typing CMD in the search box."
"The option Command Prompt is then displayed, in which we will have to enter as Administratorto be able to make changes to the equipment. A new window opens asking us for permission to make those changes to the computer."
Once inside and without leaving the directory where we are Windows/System32 type these two command lines keeping in mind that we must respect the spaces.
- dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehe alth
- sfc /scannow
We execute these commands and a process begins in which a percentage appears increasing on the screen.
Then we try to restart the computer and check if the problem has been solved. In my case, it has been solved, although in the forums there are other users who have not found a solution with this method and have had to end up either creating a new profile or returning to a restore point of their computer where it will work correctly.
