Discovered a serious vulnerability in Windows and for now there is no solution
We have already commented on how Redmond periodically releases different updates aimed at improving the operation of its operating system. New versions that incidentally improve the security and stability of the system… at least that usually happens.
But sometimes bugs sneak in, sometimes more or less serious and this is what happened to Microsoft with Windows 10. The reason is that it has been discovered a serious vulnerability that also, for the moment, has no solution or remedy.
The most significant thing is that it was Google who raised the alarm about the error that affects Windows 10. Apparently it is of a major flaw that could endanger any computer in such a way that any attacker could break in and exploit it.
Apparently the vulnerability affects the Windows kernel and apparently Microsoft already knew about this important flaw for almost a week And why haven't they taken action? That's the million dollar question. And the very easy answer… doesn't seem to have a solution for now.
It is already serious that the security error affects the core of the system but so much or more serious is that they cannot find a way to solve it In fact Apparently Google notified Microsoft and after a while of waiting and in the absence of a correction has decided to make it public.
So far there is no known solution to correct a security breach through which an attacker could gain privileges when logging on to the system Microsoft's only measure has been to issue a statement alerting users of this failure and recommending that both Windows and Edge be updated with the latest patches.
Remember that the bug initially starts from Adobe Flash, a bug for which Adobe has already released a patch. It also appears that a Russian hacker group called Strontium is behind this problem, which used this vulnerability to propagate a _phishing_ attack.
For now it is not known when Microsoft will release an update that will solve the problem but in the meantime it is convenient to maintain a few precautions and above all to be the updated system.
