Microsoft releases Windows 10 Build 14946 for smartphones and PCs within the fast ring

We always say it. One of the good things about Microsoft is its update policy, which also has a plus if we belong to the Windows Insider Program. A way to have our equipment, whether mobile or desktop, always up to date.

And following this trend, those from Redmond have released a new Build of Windows 10 for PCs and phones within the fast ring. This is compilation 14946, which belongs to the Redstone 2 branch. A Build with many improvements for both PC and phones that we will now review.

In this Build we find new features such as the possibility of turning off the phone's screen to save battery while we are using Continuum, new gestures on the _Touchpad_ or improvements when carrying out backups. These are the news:

• Improved Touchpad customization. Just enter Settings?> Devices?> Mouse and touchpad..

  

  

• The phone's screen will turn off while we use Continuum and we don't touch the phone, thus we save battery without interfering if we are with a Word document, since the Continuum session will remain active.

• Update Wi-Fi settings on both PCs and phones.

  

• On telephones you can avoid an automatic correction when typing

• On phones you can already delete a word from the dictionary

PC improvements and fixes:

• Special features like Hyper-V and Bash will still be installed after upgrading to this Build
• Fixed an issue with games using Xbox Live not working.
• Fixed an issue in Microsoft Edge that caused it to crash when opening a new tab
• Fixed issues with using scroll on a touch screen.
• Fixed issue related to explorer.exe when opening large .MOV files
• Fixed problem with network icon
• Fixed issue with brightness after waking from hibernation mode
• Now selecting the Open with option will not show two entries after pressing the calculator key

  

Phone improvements and fixes:

• Fixed problem when sending text messages.
• If we have the phone connected to the PC, the photos taken will load much faster in the file explorer
• Fixed an issue with video thumbnails sometimes not being displayed on WhatsApp.
• Fixed a problem when recording video, sometimes it was heard as a ?crunch? in sound
