Microsoft releases Build 14931 for Windows 10 PCs within the slow ring in the Insider Program
As every week it's time to talk about support in the form of _software_ and Microsoft is still committed to offering the latest updates to its users. It's time to talk about the Insider Program again, in this case within the slow ring.
And it is that all those who belong to this part of the program already have available a new Build, the 14931 A compilation destined to Desktop computers with Windows 10 that arrives by solving some problems that have been present within the operating system for a long time.
Let's remember that Build 14931 of Windows 10 for PC was released last month but on that occasion within the fast ring in the Insider Program. As usual, Dona Sarkar through her Twitter account has been in charge of announcing the availability of said Build in the media.
And when the time comes, it's time to know what we are going to find again in this update:
- Windows Feedback Center: The Windows 10 Feedback app has been updated to version 1.1608.2441.0. Added dark theme and a settings page.
- Map Update: Now you can see the traffic to your home or work at any time by pressing the Traffic icon in the bar of application.
- Sending messages via Skype Preview: You can now send text messages via Skype Preview for Windows 10.
- Native support for USB Audio 2.0: Native support for USB Audio 2.0 devices has been implemented: This is currently a version which does not have all features enabled.
Other improvements and fixes in Build:
- Fixed an issue that caused the user to experience a black screen when logging out and switching to another account.
- Fixed an issue that caused default apps like Calculator, Alarms & Clock and Voice Recorder to not work after upgrading to the new build .
Known bugs still present
- Optional components may not work after upgrading to this build. To activate them we must go to Activate/Deactivate Windows features, scroll down with the mouse and click on the check and then press ok.
- Tencent apps and games may cause your PC to display a blue screen of death.
