Redstone 2 Build 14931 Reaches PC Insiders Inside the Fast Ring

Anonim

And like every week, it's time to talk about one of the aspects that Microsoft is doing best. The release of new versions of your operating system through updates that help fix bugs and add new features.

We are talking about the well-known Builds, of which Redmond has already released a new one, this time corresponding to the development of Redstone 2 and available to users of the Insider Program within the fast ring. This is Build 14931.

As usual, Dona Sarkar has been in charge of announcing the availability of this Build that arrives for PC users within the Insider Program in the fast ring on her Twitter account. For now only for PC, since due to two bugs found they have preferred not to release it for mobile phones and in the meantime fix these _bugs_.

These are the most important new features that we will find in Build 14931:

Windows Feedback Center: The Windows 10 Feedback app has been updated to version 1.1608.2441.0. Added dark theme and a settings page.

Map Update: Now you can see the traffic to your home or work at any time by pressing the Traffic icon in the bar of application.

Sending messages via Skype Preview: You can now send text messages via Skype Preview for Windows 10. You can find more information in this link.

Native USB Audio 2.0 Support: Native support for USB Audio 2.0 devices has been implemented as the default driver. It is an early version that does not have all the features enabled at the moment, only playback is supported for this version. Support for capturing or recording is scheduled for later iterations. If you have a third-party driver, follow these instructions to use the ones placed in Windows 10.

Along with these 4 novelties, we find a list of improvements and bug fixes:

  • Fixed an issue that caused the user to experience a black screen when logging out and switching to another user account; this would not allow you to sign in to that account.
  • Fixed an issue that caused default apps like Calculator, Alarms & Clock and Voice Recorder to not work after upgrading to the new build.

Bugs still persisting in this Build:

  • While using Narrator and Groove Music, if you navigate to the progress bar while a song is playing, Narrator will continuously indicate the progress of that song every second that passes.
  • VirtualBox will crash on startup after upgrading to this build.
  • Optional components may not work after upgrading to this build.
  • Tencent apps and games may cause your PC to display a blue screen of death.

Have you already downloaded this Build? What do you think of the new features it introduces?_ Also remember that if you are not a member of the Insider Program you will not be able to receive these updates, although you can sign up for said program by following these simple steps.
