We tell you how to receive Windows 10 PC and Windows 10 Mobile Builds
On many occasions, especially when talking about Builds, we've brought up the Microsoft Insider Preview program that you allows you to receive these _Builds_, which are only preliminary versions of the operating system, before anyone else.
From Redmond they do it in principle attending to two groups (rings) to which another field was added later, such as _release preview_ with which we are supposed to be in the prelude to the general release for all users.
And from here we are going to tell you how to receive the _builds_ of Windows 10 PC and Windows 10 Mobile before they are released to the public in In general, at least for those users who are newcomers to the Windows ecosystem and don't know how to do it.
The first step is access the Insider Preview program, something that can vary in the process depending on whether the objective is to install a Build on a PC, on a Windows 10 tablet or on a Windows 10 Mobile phone There are two ways to do this, depending on the option chosen:
Windows 10 for PC or Tablets
If our thing is to enter the Insider Preview program for Windows 10 on PC we must go to the Start menu and click onSettings, seeing how a window opens with the configuration options and in which we must click on Update and security and then do the same in Windows Update"
The next step is to _click_ on Advanced Options, after which we must press the button Startand after accepting the notices and conditions about the possible risks of using unfinished versions of Windows 10, choose one of the three levels (fast ring, slow ring or _release preview_).You are already an Insider user."
If ours is Windows 10 Mobile
The first step is to download version Windows Insider from the Windows App Store and above all be clear and check that your phone , the one you want to upgrade to, is compatible with Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview. We open the Windows Insider app and after reading the mandatory notice we _click_ on the button with the legend Obtain preliminary versions for the next step, opt for one of the three Insider levels as before and thus start the installation."
Distribution rings
There are three levels to choose from to receive Windows 10 PC or Windows 10 Mobile updates away from the mainstream:
- Fast ring Intended for Insiders who want to receive the latest updates and features before anyone else and identify them errors, send your suggestions to Microsoft, at the risk of finding more errors.
- Slow ring For Insiders who want access to updates before they are released to the general public, but They don't want as many risks as the previous ones.
- Release Preview For those who want to have access to the latest news, Microsoft applications, drivers and others, with minimal risk to your devices, as it is the version prior to the final release.
Depending on the one chosen, we will have access to more refined _Builds_ or not, in the same way that they can vary in their release frequency. The last one, _release preview_, has been the most recent to arrive and we found the most security and stability but a lower frequency of releases, since it is very close to the final version.
The download process
We have already chosen the distribution ring and we are going to start the download (as long as we have verified that our device is compatible). And at this point we must again distinguish between using Windows 10 from a PC or a tablet or doing it from a mobile.
In the case of updating from a tablet or PC we must go to the Settings Menu and look for Update and security and then click on Check for updates and wait while it downloads and updates."
"If, on the other hand, you start the process on a phone with Windows Phone or Windows 10 Mobile, you must enter System Configuration and look for the section Update the phone to then _click_ on Check for updates"
"Once detected, the download will begin and before we proceed with it, press the button Install Two tips to keep in mind . The importance of feedback
Once the update has been downloaded and installed, it's time to start exploring, move around, try things and of course, comment what we think the performance and in the case of encountering failures let Microsoft know.
