How to easily create PDF documents in Windows 10

An often-overlooked but still very useful addition to Windows 10 is the ability to create PDF documents quickly , from almost any file. This is possible thanks to the fact that Windows 10 is the first version of Windows that includes by default a virtual printer to create files in this format (thus eliminating the need to download and install one ourselves).

This virtual printer is called Microsoft Print to PDF, and to use it simply go to the Print section within the document or file that we want to convert to PDF."

For example, if we want to convert a web page from Microsoft Edge to PDF format, we must click on the Options menu and then on the Print button.

Immediately afterwards a window of printing options will appear. There we must go to the choose printer box, and select Microsoft Print to PDF If we want, here we can also configure other options such as the paper size or the margin of the PDF file to be created.

Finally, all you have to do is click on OK, and with this the page will be automatically converted into a PDF document that we can save in the folder that we want."

The procedure is similar for almost any other type of file that can be printed. You only have to locate the Print menu, and there select the Microsoft Print to PDF printer.

"What to do if I can&39;t find the Microsoft Print to PDF printer?"

All the above steps are very easy to follow, except the famous Microsoft virtual printer does not appear within the printing options. If that's the case, we can add it manually using these steps:

• Go to Settings > Devices > Printers and Scanners .

• On the next page of the wizard we will be asked for the printer port. We must select the option Use an existing port, and within it choose the port FILE: (Print to a file)."

• Then it will ask for the printer driver. It is recommended to keep the current driver, choosing the option ">
