How to use WhatsApp from your Windows 10 PC
A question that some have asked us on Twitter and in comments in recent days is how is it possible to use WhatsApp on a PC or tablet with Windows 10(this is due to the fact that in several of the screenshots that I have published you can see a WhatsApp icon anchored to the taskbar). The truth is that it is quite simple, and it can also be achieved in Windows 8 and Windows 7 by following the same steps
To begin with, we must have Google Chrome installed on the PC I know that this browser is not liked by some users (I don't like it either I like it), but it is one of the few that offers compatibility with WhatsApp Web, and also allows you to access WhatsApp on Windows as if it were an application itself It is possible to download it from here.
Then open Google Chrome and type web.whatsapp.com in the address bar, and press Enter. A page like this will appear:
There we must follow the instructions on the screen to link that Chrome session with our WhatsApp account on the mobile: open WhatsApp on the phone, go to the menu, select WhatsApp Web>"
An important detail here is that WhatsApp Web at the moment is not compatible with iPhones, but only with Android, Windows Phone, BlackBerry and old Nokia S60-S40.
After having linked the mobile with WhatsApp Web we can see all our contacts and conversations on the PC Of course, the web session of WhatsApp is synchronized directly with the phone, so to access WhatsApp on the web the computer must be turned on and connected to the internet (if we turn off the phone or put it in airplane mode, the WhatsApp web page will show an error message) .
Strictly speaking, that is already enough to use WhatsApp in Windows 10 (or Windows 8/7), but as we said before, Chrome allows us to go a step further and pin WhatsApp to the toolbar tasks or in the Start Menu to use it as if it were an application
