The Start menu is taking better shape in the latest leaked build of Windows 10

Days go by and we still haven&39;t heard from new official builds of Windows 10. But to ease the wait, it&39;s worth taking a look at the news of the latest leaked builds on the net. The most recent of these is 10114, which changes mainly correspond to improvements to the Start menu and the Insider Hub app Let&39;s check them out More in detail."

For starters, the Start menu no longer includes the button that would allow us to quickly switch between full screen mode and compact mode, but we can still toggle between the two modes from the Settings appMicrosoft probably felt that this was not an option that would require frequent use, and therefore it is better to hide it in the settings in order to free up space in the Start menu

However, those who use full screen mode for the Start menu will see several interesting improvements. Now live tiles in this mode are larger, thus allowing more information to be displayed, and the application list is hidden by default inside a hamburger menu> "

The settings app also includes new options related to the taskbar and Start menu, allowing to decide whether or not to show recommended applications from the Storein such spaces. This functionality was announced during BUILD 2015, and is intended to increase the exposure of developer-published content, but there may still be users who want to turn it off, so they only see the apps they use.

You can also choose which links to system folders are shown in the start menu (music, videos, homegroup, etc. ). This is something you could do in earlier versions of Windows, but the difference is that you can now do it from the new Settings app, rather than from Control Panel.
