Microsoft releases a new version of Windows 10 Tech Preview

Anonim

Barely a few weeks have passed and we already have a new version of Windows 10 Technical Preview to try. The update is already available and will arrive automatically through Windows Update, although of course you can download it manually from PC Settings -> Update and recovery -> Preview builds . And when you have it (patience, it's more than 2 GB and you have to let it install) you'll see the main feature that Microsoft has launched: a notification center

The idea is the same as Windows Phone's Notification Center: a single point to see and manage all your notifications. Of course, at the moment it is a very basic implementation, both in terms of functionality and design, but it will evolve little by little.

There are two other features visible to us: you can now easily move applications between monitors with the Windows + Shift + arrow keys, and there is also an animation when switching between desktops. Other than that, Microsoft explains that there have been some 7,000 additional improvements and fixes

And finally, also change the update model Until now there were four rings that received preview updates: from highest to less frequent updates, Canary, Operating Systems Group, Microsoft and lastly the users, the Windows Insiders. Once a group validates a version, it is passed to the next group.

Now, the group of Windows Insiders is divided into two, Fast and Slow: the first will receive Windows 10 updates as soon as they are validated by Microsoft, while the second will do so later.By default, all users will be in the second group, although this setting can be changed from PC Settings -> Update and recovery -> Preview builds .

We haven't had time to test this update yet, but so far it looks good. More than anything because of the rhythm: if Microsoft is going to update and add new features of this type every twenty days, we are on the right track.
