Windows 8.1 Update

After introducing Windows Phone 8.1, Joe Belfiore took a little time to introduce some of what's new in the upcoming Windows 8.1 update. Note that in this version, Microsoft has paid attention to the comments and created an operating system more adapted to desktop computers

In reality, the novelties presented have not been much more different than the compilation we made some time ago. As a summary, this is the list of the most important new features that the new Windows 8.1 update brings:

• The application bar will be accessible at all times, even if we are on the Modern UI screen.
• Applications have a top bar with Minimize and Close icons.
• Power Off and Search button present at the top right of the screen.
• The search section now also shows apps from the store that match what we're looking for.
• We can access the options of the application tiles if we right click on them.
• Internet Explorer now syncs with our interests found by Cortana on Windows Phone 8.1.
• Enterprise Mode in Internet Explorer.

Although small, this update promises to make our experience with Windows 8.1 on laptops and desktops more enjoyableAnd the first news does not seem to be bad at all; news that even reminds a bit of the bases of the operating system.

According to Microsoft, Windows 8.1 update will reach users from April 8, so wait a week to be able to enjoy these new features.

Return the start menu to Windows 8.1

Unexpectedly, and unexpectedly, Microsoft announced that the classic start menu returns to the operating system. Applications and Live Tiles have been integrated into the same menu, which personally looks pretty good.

This will come as a separate update, for which we don't have a date yet.
