Spotify renews its application for Windows 10 and macOS: with a new player
Table of contents:
Spotify has ready its new PWA-type application for Windows 10 and macOS A new development that adds to other applications that have been updated in recent weeks and that comes to replace the desktop application that we had been using until now.
A new version of the Spotify app that replaces the existing desktop client and thanks to the fact that it is a Progressive Web Application, You will see how it is updated more frequently adding options that are also available in the web version.
New design: easier to create lists
The new design of the Spotify app is now available for Windows 10 and macOS, either from the Spotify website or from the Microsoft Store. A new interface that depends however on a server-side activation, so even if we have the latest version of the app, we will have to wait for remote activation.
The new application, or rather, the most recent, has the version number 1.158.820.0 and among the novelties that we will find, the option to use the new web player stands out in a separate window that removes the address bar from the browser. In addition, the new interface eliminates unnecessary controls and other extensions.
There are also new tools that make it easy to create playlists just by dragging and dropping songs into already created lists or that we create for you the occasion. They have also added a dropdown menu with new rating options and for those using the premium subscription, it is also possible to download songs by clicking the new offline button.
In my case I have tried to see if I have the new interface active and both in Windows 10 and in macOS I still have the classic design, so I still have to wait.
