Skype is updated and now offers noise cancellation to improve audio in video calls
Table of contents:
Talking about applications to be always connected is talking, among others, about Skype. The popular Microsoft application is one of the classics in a panorama where Zoom or Messenger and WhatsApp video calls, to give just three examples, make it more and more hard.
And to continue being a valid option for users, there is nothing better than offering constant improvements. And that's what the latest Skype update brings to the test channel, which debuts a feature to improve the audio of video calls.
Video calls with better sound quality
The main attraction of the latest update, is the presence of an active noise cancellation system that seeks to make video calls and phone calls gain in clarity, regardless of where we are.
A system that works by canceling the interference that comes in the form of sound from outside, thanks to a series of microphones that are in charge of capturing what is happening around the devices and emitting another wave that cancels them out.
But along with active noise cancellation, come other improvements, less prominent, but no less important. Thus, for example, WAM support is added to Windows 10, so that we will not have to enter a password every time we change accounts.
"There is also a function that allows us to know who is participating in a call at the touch of a button. Functions that come with a change of location in the Privacy settings>"
In addition, Microsoft is working to offer support for Skype in Safari as well as for Chromium-based browsers. Also they want to add support for background blur on the web, ability to lock the meeting or search for contacts by phone number.
