To-Do is the Microsoft application designed to manage tasks and until now, it has been one of the company's favorites when it comes to receiving updates and improvements. It is also a cross-platform app that we can download, use, and update on Android, iOS, and macOS, at least until now.
And it is that Microsoft has announced that To-Do will stop receiving updates in some versions of iOS and macOS, so that those who use the application in the affected versions they will have no choice but to update the operating system if they want to continue having the latest news.
Only from iOS 13 and macOS 10.14
To-Do is an application that has traditionally received regular updates. This is how support for multiple accounts arrived, compatibility with Cortana, the ability to postpone appointments or the striking dark theme.
Now, Microsoft has announced on the Microsoft 365 support page that To-Do will stop receiving updates on some versions of iOS and macOS and no, these are not versions with years of life. To-Do will not be able to update on versions of iOS earlier than iOS 13 and on computers running earlier than macOS 10.14 Mojave. These are operating systems with three years of life.
The measure will take effect on April 8, 2021, and during this time Microsoft recommends companies update their systems operating to the latest versions that they can access if they want to continue receiving updates.To-Do will continue to be functional, but any new features or fixes they release will no longer reach the affected versions.
To-Do is an application that was born on the basis of Wunderlist, as it has been developed by the same team responsible for the latter. With Microsoft's acquisition of Wunderlist, To-Do began its journey, acquiring many of Wunderlist's properties.
