It's something that researchers have discovered in China, where a version of Flash is still being distributed. A version that works perfectly if it weren't for the fact that, according to researchers, it comes loaded with adware. It is malicious software that is usually the basis of what causes ads to appear on our computers.

An exclusive version for the Asian country that can only be downloaded from flash.cn and whose existence is due to the great use of Flash Player in said market. Therefore, Adobe authorized its commercialization to a company called Zhong Cheng Network.

A version that apparently causes, after its installation, the appearance of windows and other infrequent behaviors that are usually an unequivocal symptom of an infection on our computer. A fact confirmed by the security company Minerva Labs.

To confirm their suspicions, analyzed the installable file that can be downloaded from flash.cn and in the report revealed that it is a a vitaminized version of Flash. It works, it's true, but the FlashHelperService.exe executable houses another file called nt.dll whose mission is to open browser windows at regular intervals.

For now it is not something to worry about beyond the Asian country, because the version of flash.cn is only functional on computers that are marketed within China.
