One of Microsoft's most popular applications is Your Phone. We are not going to reveal anything that is not already known about an app that happens to be one of the most interesting tools for those who combine the use of a PC with Windows 10 and on the other hand a phone that has Android as operating system.

Microsoft has pampered this application with various enhancements, adding various capabilities and functions over the months. We have seen how the PC can show the information of the audio that is being played on the phone, how the size of the files that can be exchanged is increased, how copying and pasting between some devices or between others is allowed, how the number of photos you can show.With the latest update, PiP (Picture in Picture) mode comes to Your Phone.

SMS on PC always at hand

With this update, all those who wish will be able to see in the Your Phone application for the PC, the text messages that are arriving at the mobile through a floating and resizable window.

Okay, it is true that text messages or SMS are in decline, but there are still users who make use of them. With this feature, these people can view content on the PC, work, play and they will always see the window with the mobile messages superimposed on any other app on the computer.

In addition, it is not only a matter of reading the messages, but also of responding, since from the PC we have the ability to send a response to any incoming message.

An applications section will also arrive, a function about which for now there is very little information and that would be added to the already existing Photos, Messages, Notifications, Calls…. the only data is an image posted on Twitter by one of the developers who belong to the Your Phone team, which suggests that we will see it in future updates.

Remember that to use the app Your Phone you must meet a series of requirements: on the one hand, use a PC that runs at least Windows 10 April 2018 Update or later and a phone running Android 7.0 (Nougat) or later. The Your Phone app is pre-installed if you already have Windows 10 October 2018 Update or a later version.
