Known Bugs

  • Some users are seeing doubling of favorites after we made some fixes in that area last month. The most common way to trigger this is by installing a new Edge channel or installing Edge on another device and then signing in with an account that has already signed in to Edge before. Fixing this should be easier now that the deduplication tool is available. However, we've also seen duplication when running the replicator on multiple machines before either machine has a chance to fully sync its changes, so while we work to fix this, make sure to only run the replicator on one machine. at once.
  • Some users are still experiencing issues with perimeter windows showing black.UI popups like menus are not affected and can be fixed by opening the browser's Task Manager and killing the GPU process. Note that this only seems to affect users with certain hardware.
  • Some users are seeing wobbling behavior when scrolling using trackpad gestures or touch screens, where scrolling in one dimension also causes the page to subtly scroll back and forth in the other . Note that this only affects certain websites and seems to be worse on certain devices. This is likely related to our ongoing work to bring scrolling back to parity with Edge Legacy behavior, so if this behavior is undesirable, you can temporarily disable it by disabling the edge://flags/edge-experimental- flag. scrolling.
  • There are some issues where users with multiple audio output devices sometimes get no sound from Edge. In one case, Edge is muted in the Windows Volume Mixer and unmuting it fixes it. In another, restarting the browser fixes it.
  • At certain zoom levels, there is a noticeable line between the browser user interface and web content.

Remember that you can download the new Edge at this link on any of the channels on the platforms on which it is available. If you already have it installed, just go to preferences within the browser and check if you have any pending updates.
