Edge is updated on the Dev Channel improving security when browsing and fixing bugs that had deceived the Canary Channel

Microsoft continues with Edge updates on its three channels in order to gain acceptance among users and today it was the turn of the intermediate channel, at least in terms of release frequency . Edge on the Dev Channel has a new update that brings it up to version number 79.0.294.1

In this update we find a series of general improvements aimed at improving performance and incidentally adds the expected bug fixes in the browser to gradually eliminate all those bugs that had escaped the feedback filter in the Canary version of Edge.

Safer browsing

The new features include warning messages to inform about the security of some extensions as well as more complete information when accessing web pages of dubious security.

• Messages and alerts are now provided to warn users if they install an extension that may cause modification of the default browser, home page, or new tab page.
• Adds improved messaging and reporting capabilities when browsing insecure websites.
• Add a button to configure synchronization from the side menu of the profile.

Bugs fixed

• Fixed an issue where PDF files would sometimes fail to load.
