By following these steps you can keep at bay with the new Edge the tracking that some web pages do when you browse
We increasingly value privacy when surfing the net and to offer greater protection against growing threats, different browsers have appeared on all platforms. And the traditional ones don't want to be left behind, that's why they take more and more care of privacy by adding more options
This is the case of Microsoft, when updating the new Chromium-based Edge in the Canary channel to help users avoid the tracking carried out by some web pages when we browse the Internet.
Microsoft Edge on the Canary channel is updated to version 77.0.203.0 (Windows 10 only for now) and now offers new tracking protection tools in the browser. And it does so by offering three new levels of protection:
- Basic level:
- Balanced level:
- Strict level:
Depending on the chosen one we will find more privacy but also, perhaps, more inconveniences, when browsing the net. This is an option that is not activated by default but that we can enable by following these steps.
To do this we must update Edge Canary to the latest version and once inside write in the search box edge://flagsWe must activate the edge-tracking-prevention option and for this it is best to use the search engine. Just type tracking>."
"On the right side, in the drop-down check Enabled (Default is activated) and restart the browser with the button in the lower area right."
When we return to Edge we go to Settings>Privacy and security we will see how the new option already available appears."
We must mark the one that suits our needs but yes, taking into account that the more restrictive, the more problems can be generated with web browsing by interfering with cookies, script execution, or data storage.
