Edge is updated

Yesterday we talked about the new Chromium-based Edge and the latest update that came to the Canary version of it. An update of the many that he receives, almost daily, brought by the synchronization with the theme we are using in Windows 10.

Canary is the version that is updated almost every day, but it is not the only one available. As we already explained when talking about the different versions of Chrome, there are several development branches that we can find. In the case of Edge, they are limited to three: Edge Canary, Edge on the Dev channel and the Beta Channel. And it is this version that has just received a new update.

This week Edge in Dev Release hits version 76.0.159.0 and offers a handful of interesting enhancements. However, remember that, being a development version, it also contains a series of errors that can complicate the user experience, so it is not recommended as a main browser.

Received improvements

Error correction:

• The send feedback dialog no longer spell checks URLs and email addresses.
• Fixed a bug where Microsoft Edge could crash after accessing via a remote desktop session
• Fixed a crash when navigating back to history search results
• Fixed a tooltip related crash that would occur in several different scenarios

• Fixed a visual formatting issue with the warning about downloading a dangerous file.
• Fixed a bug in the DevTools Performance tab where checkboxes in the event log viewer overlapped with the content of the adjacent panel
• New tab page settings no longer appear in settings search
• Fixed a bug with tree views (like you see when adding a new favorites folder) showing dark black icons on a dark background
• New tab page icon is no longer black on dark gray in dark mode
