Screen mirroring from mobile to PC is now possible in the Insider Program
Table of contents:
Four days ago we saw information appear regarding new features that Micrsooft might be planning for the Your Phone app. Data that arrived via Ajith on Twitter and among them reference was made to the possibility of duplicating the mobile screen on the PC
It was the most striking, since it would be a more than interesting improvement for those who spend a lot of time in front of the computer under Windows 10 and do not want to have to constantly divert their attention to the mobile. This is information that now seems to be confirmed
And as mentioned in WBI, Microsoft has released version 1.0.20701.0 of Your Phone, which adds this improvement. A version of the app that for now, and as usual, would only be available to users who are part of the Insider Program.
In this way, all those with access to said _update_ and later, the generality of users, will have the option of duplicating the mobile screen. A novelty that, however, seems to come with limitations at first.
Few compatible models in principle
In this first version, not all hardware will be compatible and only Samsung phones can be used for this purpose, specifically Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ , Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ along with the Microsoft Surface Go.This limitation is due to the fact that it is a test version and hence the limited number of phones to use.
As for _software_, there are two requirements to meet. On the one hand, the phone with Android, some of the Galaxy models in this case, must have Android 7.0 Nougat, something that is taken for granted at least in these devices with just two years on the market. In the case of the PC or Windows device, it must be compatible with Bluetooth Low Energy and of course, be part of the Insider Program.
If you are part of the Insider Program and have any of these models, you can comment on your impressions about this new feature of Your Phone and if it really delivers everything it promises.
