Don't want to use Microsoft Edge by default in Windows 10? So you can configure a different browser
We are waiting to receive the first versions of the new Chromium-based Edge. It won't arrive, presumably, until Windows 10 October 2019 Update, so the Builds that make it debut in the Insider Program will be a sample of what it can give of Yeah.
And it is that Edge, despite arriving with the label of revolutionary and with the aim of replacing Internet Explorer, has not finished permeating among users. And this despite being installed by default as a browser in Windows 10. A fact that does not prevent us from being able to change it for another that is more suited to our needs or preferences
To do this we can choose two paths On the one hand, it is enough to download and install another browser so that when you start it for the first time Sometimes it asks us if we want it to be our default browser. However, if we have discarded that option, Windows 10 allows us to select the browser we want to use by default.
There are very few steps that we have to carry out to determine that Edge is not the default browser in Windows 10.
"To change this option we must first go to the Search box in Windows 10 by _clicking_ on the gear wheel at the bottom left ."
"Once inside we must write Default applications and we will see a list of options that are displayed before us. We must enter the one that appears under the title Settings for default applications."
A new window will open with different options depending on the selected utility. We can change the default values to open the email, the music player... and next to them the browser. Microsoft Edge is activated by default
If we click on Web Browser we will see a list with the browsers we have installed on our computer and from among those available we must select the one that best suits our needs."
"For the test we are going to change Firefox to Google Chrome Just mark the one we want to use from that moment and the system will establish it default. In addition, if at any given time we want to revert the changes, we can select Edge (or another application previously set by default) manually or use the Reset button to revert to the settings recommended by Microsoft."
