Microsoft continues betting on 3D environments
Microsoft is making a strong commitment to virtual environments: 3D becomes more important. Either with the launch of hardware such as the HoloLens (of which a second version is already expected) or with _software_ that can take advantage of this function, the newly minted Paint serving as an example.
These are two examples of the work being carried out by the American company but they are not the only ones. They continue to develop new projects in charge of Microsoft Garage, the section of the firm dedicated to researching and developing projects that, if they materialize, may come to light. The last example is Sketch 360.
Behind Sketch 360 is Microsoft Garage, an idea based on making it easier for Microsoft employees to work on projects they are passionate about and that they don't always have to do with their role at Microsoft (something similar to Google X). In groups ranging from 2 to 20 people, the Garage is a hotbed of ideas that even has the support of the parent company, as a private hackathon is organized to publicize Microsoft Garage projects among other employees.
Sketch 360 is an application through which the user can create content in the form of illustrations in 360 degree environments The design in 3D allows creators to better appreciate the final result of their work by being able to view their creation from all possible angles.
Sketch 360 is free to download from the Microsoft Store and does not require a powerful computer or special _hardware_, because it allows access to the content created through a 360 degree viewer through the web browser or on web pages that support this type of design.
It is an easy-to-use application that allows us to check the development of our creation while we are drawing on the screen. To do this, the screen is divided into two areas, one that could correspond to the design view and the other to the development view.
Sketch 360 also offers support for drawing with digitizing tablets or _stylus_, tools that greatly facilitate design tasks.
