Microsoft updates Outlook and calendar in the web version in a clear commitment to professional environments
Outlook and Calendar is one of Microsoft's star applications. Either through one of the applications created for the different operating systems, as it is also present in iOS, Android and Mac OS, or using the web version, it is one of the most used applications since it allows access to email accounts with the Microsoft seal.
An application that is now updated again in the web version for customers who use an Office 365 account.Something more than a facelift that seeks to generate a new Outlook web experience especially within business environments. An improved Outlook coming in the coming months.
Microsoft has announced an enhanced sign-in experience for everyone with an Office 365 account so they can now log into their work or school accounts using the web application. In addition, if you do not have a Microsoft account and use a different one, when you enter the website it will automatically redirect you to the login page that corresponds to the email used.
There has also been improved response to invitations and now, when we receive an invitation and do not respond, Outlook will update the response of the user in the guest list but will not send an email to the host.
For anyone not using the latest web version of Outlook, these features change. If you are using the classic version of Outlook, you have to check Do not send a reply so that the organizer does not receive an email and at the same time to make it easier for the organizer to know our response. If the classic version of Outlook is used, we must deactivate the Notify the organizer option so that the organizer does not receive any email and at the same time the guest list is updated."
In addition the online meeting feature has been updated in the new Outlook and now allows the use of Teams as the meeting tool default online meeting. An improvement that will only be accessible if the organization to which we belong has enabled Teams in the new Outlook.Otherwise, Skype for Business will remain the default option."
If in the company or organization only some users have access to Teams, only they will see the option to create Teams meetings, while everyone else will only see the option to create Skype meetings."
