You can now gift apps and add-ons for your avatar in the Microsoft Store from PC or console

Microsoft continues to improve its applications and services. And now it is the turn of the Windows 10 Store. It offers a design that is not as optimized as it should be, a job that requires Microsoft to get down to work. And while it improves it offers some solutions that are more than helpful

And now the Microsoft Store allows us to give away applications and avatars for our _gamertags_. An improvement that complements the existing offer that allowed other users to gift games and subscriptions to Xbox Live or Game Pass.

A function that, for example, already appears in the Apple App Store or in Android's Google Play and that allows us to give an application to another user . For this, the operation is very accessible.

"

To do this we must first select the option Buy as a gift. Once marked, the second step is to indicate the email of the recipient of the gift or the Gamertag if we are buying directly from the Xbox."

The recipient will receive a notification to the indicated email and a code to proceed with the download of the application in question as if he had bought it himself but with the advantage of having zero cost. A functionality that has limits that we must know:

  • Only two gifts at a discounted price of the same product by the same user are allowed.
  • You can buy and gift up to 10 products in 14 days if they have a discounted price. At normal price there is no limitation.
  • Gift recipient must reside and download in the same marketplace where it was purchased.
  • The purchase and delivery is immediate. Deliveries cannot be scheduled.
  • Regarding games, You cannot gift original Xbox 360 and Xbox titles.
  • Also Gifting is not allowed Pre-orders, free products and downloadable content of games with virtual currency.

This new feature is starting to roll out, so it may still take a few days to reach all users.
