Google now offers the ability to disable forced login in the Canary version of Chrome
Table of contents:
The controversy these days has come from Google and its policy of forced access. You already know and we have already told it. First it was discovered that when entering any of the Google services (YouTube, Gmail...), a forced login was caused. The system detected when we had logged in and automatically loaded our entire profile without us having to authorize it.
After complaints, Google backtracked, announcing that this feature could be disabled in future versions of Google Chrome. And it has been in Chrome Canary, the earliest version of the browser, where this option already appears to not synchronize our account data
Allow Chrome Sign-in
"In this case, the new option appears included in the section Privacy and security which we can access by clicking on the options Settings in the Advanced Options submenu, at the bottom of the page. In them we will see a new tab with the legend Allow Chrome Sign-in"
To be able to access it we must download and install the latest version of Chrome Canary available, which in this case is 71.0. 3563.0.
"Once downloaded and installed we will see a tab that, as we already guessed, is activated by default. In this way everything will remain the same unless we manually move it to _off_"
The problem is that it is a hidden option, which will cause most users to be unaware of its existence and therefore Therefore, the system will continue to behave as it has until now. Only if Google had disabled it by default, the change in the situation would have been palpable.
Chrome Canary can be downloaded for free and, as in any beta version, you can access the news that will later reach Chrome Beta and finally the stable version before anyone else. Of course, keep in mind that this is a development version and therefore may contain bugs and errors.
