Outlook is preparing for a wave of improvements, although they will only be accessible to Office 365 users
Outlook is one of Microsoft's flagship applications. Either through one of the applications created for the different operating systems, as it is also present in iOS, Android and Mac OS, or using the web version, it is one of the most used applications since it allows access to email accounts with the Microsoft seal.
One of the last moves was to enable a beta version that we could all test on the web version. However, from Microsoft they do not want to stay in facelift and modest additions and so they announce what they call a new Outlook web experience, although it will only be available to Office 365 customers. An improved Outlook coming in the coming months
"Office 365 users will be the recipients of a series of improvements that will be enabled in the coming months. To do this, and as it already happened at the time to test the new design, they should look in the upper right area of the inbox for the option Try the new perspective."
Outlook benefits with this update from a series of improvements and additions that seek to facilitate its use and at the same time increase the available options, since for example we will see the arrival of Suggested Answers, a better experience when using the Calendar or an Optimized Search. This is the list of improvements:
- Search: When performing a search, Outlook will anticipate what we need based on recent conversations and people with we have related.
- Files: to make it easier to find a file in the inbox they have added a Files module that will display all the files that we have received or sent in the inbox.
- Suggested Answers: Through Suggested Answers, the new Outlook seeks to save time and work. Based on the use of Artificial Intelligence, Outlook allows you to reply with a short message, with just a couple of clicks and that's it.
- Simplified event creation: Improved event management, which can now be more easily added to the calendar with event icons Updated for easy viewing. They also include location suggestions for address details.
- Smart Room Tips: Artificial Intelligence is back to the rescue and now Outlook helps us find the best space for your meetings based on attendees, time, availability and their preferences.
- Simplified Add-in Experience: Outlook add-ins are now easier to access, making everyday tasks easier by saving time and work. These are now more accessible.
- More ways to use and manage groups in Outlook: Creating and interacting with groups has been improved and now by example it is easier to send a group email. At the same time, new features have been added such as the Group Files view that focuses on the latest file activity and group management in the People module.
- Favorites: The really important data is now more accessible through Favorites. With this function we can always have folders, events or contacts in view and located, to give just three examples.
- More ways to keep up with your groups: Group cards can now be used from anywhere within Outlook.Additionally, group owners can also take actions on their members or access group resources such as Files, Scheduler, and SharePoint.
Some of the functions that we currently find in the current version of Outlook are dropped in this _restyling_, so Microsoft has prepared a list of all those that will not be available in this new version.
