Skype preview already offers the possibility of hiding conversations and prepares important news on Android

Maybe for many users, at least the youngest, messaging applications do not go beyond the green color of WhatsApp or the blue color of Telegram and Facebook Messenger. It is true that they are the best known but not the only ones. A good example might be Skype from Microsoft

A multiplatform application that Microsoft continues to work on with updates like this one at hand. And it is that the _preview_ version of Skype has seen a new function arrive thanks to which it now allows us to save conversations that we have open.

An improvement that it does to some extent is improving our privacy If we're talking and someone comes in that we don't want see our conversation (and don't be rude) this feature allows us to archive or hide that conversation but without having to close it and thus lose its content.

To do this they have enabled a new gesture if we use touch screens with which it is enough to press and hold the conversation to make it appear the option Archive conversation When pressing this chat, it disappears from the list of chats that we have on all devices. If we later want to access said conversation again and make it visible in the chat list, the process is equally simple. All you have to do is look for the contact with whom you were having the conversation in the list and click on it.

This is a new feature coming in Skype version 8.29.76.16, in _preview_, and is available for all platforms.

Android Improvements

This is an enhancement that is not yet operational and also appears in the _preview_ of Skype for Android. In this way, Skype would become the default SMS client on our Android mobile so that the Skype desktop application can be used to send and receive text messages.
