WhatsApp could be working with Microsoft to bring a version of its application to Windows 10
Talking about popular applications today, whatever their type, always makes us think of two or three names that come to mind instinctively. WhatsApp, Gmail and Facebook. And two of them are under the umbrella of the same company, so they share many of their positive and negative aspects.
This is the case of WhatsApp, which since it became part of Mark Zuckerberg's company, has incorporated some very useful functions and all without slowing down the pace that has allowed them to earn millions of users all over the world, including despite the existence of better quality alternatives as can be the case of Telegram.
Now WhatsApp could be close to launching a native application for Windows 10 that would give access to the popular platform from both PCs and tablets . It would be a new WhatsApp Universal Application (UWP) in which they would be working side by side with Microsoft. And it is striking that they opt for a UWP app when Progressive Web Applications are gaining so much prominence.
It all started when a designer made public the sketch of a renewed concept of the messaging tool. It is the first step that was known and that serves to think that WhatsApp could reach Windows 10 as a UWP application with some lines that who knows if they would be similar to those shown above.
WhatsApp would therefore have determined that it is beneficial for them to have an app in the Windows ecosystem as the most used operating system . In fact, they already have an application designed for macOS that greatly facilitates communication without having to take your eyes off the screen.
We will have to wait to see if it finally becomes a reality this UWP version of WhatsApp for Windows 10 in what would be great news for all platform users.
