Twitter picks up the pace and once again updates its PWA application for Windows with new features
Twitter is putting on the table all the advantages that Progressive Web Applications (PWA's) can offer. And it is that since he launched his for Windows 10 we are almost running into an update per week, something that is rare to see in most applications.
The ease offered by Progressive Web Applications to be updated is evident with this new _update_ that has been received in the Redmond ecosystem. An update that however can only be savored by those users who are already testing some of the released Builds that support this feature.
The new update for Twitter offers, along with functional improvements, some aesthetic changes and what is most striking, the support for working with Live Tiles .
This way we can now add Twitter to the Live Tiles the same as if it were a Universal Application. The only limit to this new function is that they are only available in the tiles of a user account.
We can add a user's profile to the Tiles as a dynamic icon and anchor it to the start menu. In addition, if we use the configuration options in said user profile we will have access to a menu with different options (block, report, silence, pin user, see lists...)
For now these updates do not go through the Microsoft Store
In addition we can change the size of the tiles between small, medium and large in the same way that it can be done with the normal application.
Twitter is one of the applications that is making the most of the possibilities offered by Progressive Web Applications and all the updates that have been released are a good sample.
For now the updates are being released without having to go through the Microsoft Store but hopefully in the future, As they gain prominence, they all end up going through the app store.
