Planner will improve integration in Microsoft Teams to fully integrate all its functions
One of the aspects that Microsoft pampers with care is the business segment, one of the supports that Redmond traditionally has and in which it still has great support. In this sense, they have applications aimed at this market niche, in the case of Microsoft Office 365
It is true that many may think from the outset that Office is not an application focused exclusively on traditional uses, but thinking in this area they have the option of using a business plan of Office 365 and therefore to use utilities such as Planner.
For those who don't know it, Planner is a team task manager that seeks to improve productivity by facilitating the exchange of documents and communications. A way to easily create plans, organize and assign tasks, share files, chat about work, and track progress.
However, with the arrival of Microsoft Teams users encountered a problem, and that is that the Planner options when accessing from Microsoft Teams had dwindled. Users were faced with a limited version of Planner with less functionality, something that Redmond is trying to correct.
In this sense, the American company has stepped forward, stating that they are working on improving Planner when integrating with Microsoft Teams is all about. A job that they are carrying out that will be reflected in a series of points:
- Microsoft will work to fully integrate Teams and Planner.
- We can select existing plans in Planner and add them as tabs in Microsoft Teams.
- With Planner in Teams we will have access to features such as graphs and other views.
- Microsoft Teams users can have multiple plans in each group.
It is about having access to all Planner functions although the access is carried out from Microsoft Teams, thus being able to obtain all features like notifications, file sharing, task assignments, and all without ever leaving the app. These improvements are apparently already being implemented and should not take long to reach users, with beginning of 2017 being the most likely period of time for them to be enabled
