I personally quite like the Mail app that comes pre-installed in Windows 10 , given how simple and practical it is to use. However, many users (including many of those who read this blog) have a different opinion, due to certain bugs that the app has when synchronizing accounts, and would therefore prefer to use another applicationas a mail client.

All of them will like to know that today in the Windows Store there is already a very good alternative to manage mail: it is TouchMail , an excellent client that was released a couple of years ago with Windows 8 in mind, and since then has done nothing but improve and add new features thanks to its continuous updates.

TouchMail stands out for its novel design, specially designed for touch environments, but which also works without problems with mouse and keyboard. In this design, emails are represented by color squares, among which it is possible to navigate by scrolling horizontally .

If we pinch the screen, or use the zoom buttons, we can choose the level of detail of each email that will be displayed in these boxes. This detail can go from showing only an image of the sender (and thus display hundreds of emails on the same screen), to display the full text of each email on the inbox.

TouchMail offers everything an email client should have, along with advanced filters, an intuitive interface, and full integration with Windows 10.

Each email is displayed in a different color, depending on the sender, in order to differentiate them more easily. Swipe gestures (up and down) are also included to select or delete emails.

The main view allows you to group emails by sender, or by date of delivery (the latter is the default option), and quickly select all emails received on a date, or associated with a certain sender .

There are even filters to quickly clear the view and show only the most recent messages, with attachments, or from important contacts ( for this there is a list of VIP contacts that we can customize).

Available in free and paid versions

"

TouchMail has a free version which includes all of the above features, but also offers premium features(Gold) if we agree to pay $1 per month (or $9.99 per year).Among these characteristics are:"

  • Support for up to 6 accounts (instead of the 2 that the free version allows)
  • Multiple signatures for each account
  • Delete the
  • Local mail history of up to 90 days, versus 60 days for the free version
  • Preferential Support

We can also pay $19.99 to get all these features for life, but for most users none of them are essential, so if we complicates paying, no problem, since you can live perfectly using the free version.

TouchMail is free to download from the Windows Store, and supports almost all the important features of Windows 10, such as live tiles or notification center.
