Twitter for Windows 10 is here
Table of contents:
Finally Twitter has released the anticipated update of their application for Windows 10, which we already told you about yesterday, and which promised to include news related to the publication of images and videos, along with offering better integration with Windows 10.
Unfortunately, after using it for a few minutes you can see that the new application is not up to the standards of what we would expect from a Twitter client for PC and tablet. The same thing happened with the previous version, but many of us hoped that this update would correct its errors.Unfortunately it has not been so.
Among the main criticisms is the poor integration with the Windows 10 notification center, the lack of multi-account support, the lack support for quoting tweets, misuse of screen space, and the absence of other important features.
Here are some comments from Windows users about it:
TweetDeck, Aeries, and Tweetium: Best Alternatives for Windows
"What hope do we have before this mediocre app? First of all, it is still possible that Twitter will publish an improved version in the next few days, since only tomorrow, July 29, Microsoft will open the doors> "
But in the meantime, there are other alternatives, free and paid, to use Twitter more pleasantly in Windows. There is Tweetium, which we already reviewed here a while ago, and which has the advantage of offering synchronization between PC and telephone, but it is paid. If we are looking for something free, there is also the classic TweetDeck, which is still the favorite of many users, especially those who need multi-account support (the official link of download is hidden, but can be downloaded from here).
Finally, there's Aeries for Windows 10, a new version of this excellent client, which is unfortunately only available on Windows Phone today, but should be coming to PCs and tablets in the coming months.
