Today we bring you another edition of our update rounds section, to keep you up to date on Windows 8 and Windows Phone applications which have received important updates over the past few days. On this occasion, the apps that offer us relevant news are Audible, Caledos Runner, Nextgen Reader, among others. Let's see what changes they incorporate.

  • The Audible beta for Windows Phone adds the option to search for audiobooks from the Audible store directly from the app, as well as from explore recommendations and titles similar to a particular audiobook. It should be noted that, as it is a beta application, when installing it we must be prepared to deal with the bugs that may appear (link in the Windows Phone Store).

  • Swarm, Foursquare's check-ins application, receives a major update that leaves it in its version 2.0, in which support for private messages between users is added, and for stickers that can be unlocked by meeting certain goals (link in the Windows Phone Store).

  • Nextgen Reader, the quintessential RSS client on Windows Phone, gets a smallish update that improvescompatibility with the new Facebook and LinkedIn APIs to share content In this way, when sharing a link on these social networks, we will have a separate text field to add comments to this (link in the Windows Phone Store).

  • Caledos Runner, one of the best applications in the store to record running sessions, and which we recommend in our latest weekly compilation of applications, incorporates a rather interesting feature: support for training plans, which debuts by offering us a free 9-week 5K plan. For now that's the only one available, but it's likely that more paid plans will be added soon, such as in-app purchases (link in the Windows Phone Store).

  • Tiny Troopers, one of the most popular games for Windows phones and tablets, is updated by adding new levels in which we can fight against zombies, and also a table that shows the users who have obtained the highest score. Of course, although the game is available for both Windows Phone and Windows 8, the news only applies to the latter, but because in the Windows Phone version these changes were already implemented(link in the Windows Store).

  • To finish, we tell you about the update of KickSmoking, one of the most popular smoking cessation tools in the store , and which includes changes such as a better interface, which adapts to the accent color of Windows Phone, the automatic calculation of the tar that we have stopped consuming, the possibility to know how much money we have saved by buying fewer cigarettes, and even an option to share with family and friends our progress in quitting tobacco (link in the Windows Phone Store).

As always, these updates should be installed automatically in case we have the applications on the phone, but if we are very impatient we can force the process by going to the app's page in the Windows Phone Store.
