Wacom, the well-known Japanese manufacturer of drawing tablets and stylus, has developed several applications in recent years to jump on the tablet bandwagon. One of them, the somewhat poor in options Bamboo Page, was already available in the Windows Store. But it was during this week that it brought its most advanced version to Windows 8: Bamboo Paper

Bamboo Paper is an application to take notes and make sketches in Windows 8 that allows us to exploit the touch capabilities of our tablets and their control using a stylus or digital pen.The useful application to translate our ideas into drawings thanks to the possibility of using up to six types of lines, with three levels of thickness and the color that we prefer among a good assortment of options.

From the application we can archive our creations as if it were the pages of a notebook, being able to choose the type of paper on which we want to draw. In addition, we can also import images from the internal memory or taking photos with the tablet's own camera and place them on our pages to make our notes on them.

The application works better if we have a digital pencil since it is prepared to detect the hand that holds it in a way that allows us to write with it resting on the screen. And, if we don't have a digital pen, Wacom offers direct access to purchase some of its models from the application's configuration menu.

Bamboo Paper has been in the Windows Store for a few days but it didn't quite work on many tablets, such as Microsoft's Surface. Fortunately Wacom has rushed to update it solved the problem. If you want to try it out for yourself, all you have to do is access the Windows Store and download it for free The application is available in Spanish and works on both Windows 8 and Windows RT.
