Microsoft updates Bing Maps apps for Windows 8 with new features and more cities

Last December Microsoft released a preview version of its new Bing Maps application with it introducing a spectacular 3D rendering of various cities and functionalities focused on the search, recommendation and indication of places. After adding several more cities in February, now comes an update that adds even more and adds new features, some of which also extend to the System Maps app.

One of the main novelties is the improvement of recommendations, now more personalized as they are based on previous searches or on sites that we have marked as favourites.The latter will be stored directly in the cloud for synchronization between devices, allowing, among other things, consultation through Cortana in Windows Phone 8.1.

Search is a fundamental section and that is why Redmond has decided to slightly modify the interface of its two applications by placing the search box always visible in the upper right corner.
