FlightAware complete airspace information on your device

Who has not been restless because they have to go to the airport to pick up a family member, and not knowing if the flight is delayed?
The slow passing of minutes, which turn into hours, waiting for someone to give us detailed information on what is happening in airspace.
Or simply being an aviation enthusiast, like the person who writes these lines, and who likes being able to follow air traffic at a particular airport, or the evolution, almost in real time, of a plane where loved ones travel.
Full flight information
Thus, when we open the application in our Windows 8, we find traffic in the airspace close to our geographical position, a list of delayed flights (which I have not found a way to configure), the area where I place my tracking preferences, both for flights and airports, and alerts about the flights that I am interested in having controlled.
If we search for the flight we want to obtain information about, by number, by registration, by route (departure and arrival airport) or by airport, we will obtain a list where we can select the one that most interests us. interest; accessing a fairly complete aircraft tracking record.
This way we will see, on a map, your current position. Your speed, sailing altitude, estimated departure and arrival times, and a graph of speed and flight level every few minutes.
For the more aero upset, it also offers us all the control points of the route; which is especially interesting on long-haul flights.
Excellent for a flight, but needs improvement
There is a great need for a longer time horizon, that can carry out searches on dates further away than tomorrow, today or yesterday, and so on configure alerts far in time.
The navigation is somewhat confusing, and the back button works like a “Web browser”, so the results are not as expected.
The application is excellent for tracking a single flight. But it is not valid to have a real vision of what happens in a crowded airspace, such as Barajas. Since it limits the number of simultaneous aircraft to a few.
Conclusions
I find it to be a very useful application for monitoring a flight, either because we are going to take it or because we have some reason of interest to visualize its actions in the airspace and how it is going to adjust to the declared path.
But I think you should immediately receive an update that improves the software and the user experience; and even more so when, accessing the application's website, we find a much more powerful, deeper and richer airspace monitoring system
