Clouder!

SoundCloud, the service for uploading and sharing our recordings, has been gaining followers for some time. More and more artists use it as a platform to publish previews or samples of their work on the web. This, together with the rest of the audio that users upload, make SoundCloud a more than interesting music repository accessible from the web. The application that we bring you today brings all that music library closer to our Windows 8 and its Modern UI style.

Clouder! was born as a personal project of the French developer Nicollet Fabien to illustrate a tutorial on how to create Modern UI applications, if you read French no stop checking it on its website, but it works so well that, in the absence of an official application, it serves perfectly as a method to search and play any of the songs hosted on SoundCloud.

On the initial screen Clouder! it shows us the most popular tracks on SoundCloud, groups of tracks created by users and a small selection from the developers. The application has a simple player that fulfills its function, allowing you to control the playback of the track and go forward or backward between the tracks that we have recently listened to.

But the best thing comes when you bring up the Windows 8 search bar. The application is well integrated into the system and allows you to search for songs or artists on SoundCloud directlyand at any time. The tracks are displayed in mosaic format, selecting any of them we start playing it and access its information page. In it we can read the comments or put our own if we have started our SoundCloud session, discover other audios uploaded by the user and even download the track to our music folder.
